When: June 2 – 4, 2015 @ 1pm – 2pm

Where: Village Opera House, Windhoek

Cost: TBA

Contact: 264 61 237 922

The Bank Windhoek Arts Festival presents Sjordé 2015 at the Village Opera House in Windhoek, with Mola handling the poetry and Jacus on saxophone, and panellists David and Aldo.

The lunch hour programme Sjordé that took Windhoek by storm in the eighties and nineties, makes a welcome reappearance – at Windhoek’s own Village Opera House. The synergy responsible for the come back comes from a partnership between the Bank Windhoek Arts Festival, The Village Management and Joy Sasman from the JOY of food. (Joy Sasman)

In typical Sjordé style, a performing arts programme of 50 – 60 minutes, an excellent platter of JOY-food and some liquid in a glass, are planned opposite the fish pond of Fresh & Wild, at the Village. These programmes might range from jazz to oempa, from one-acts to dance – all have as aim to provide a relaxing hour and a wau-experience!

The theatre programme for this round comes from Mola’s newly published poetry, The Scars on my Skin. He will be ‘reading’ an assorted selection of his poems, with accompaniment by Jacus on a Saxophone, whilst David and Aldo will position and clarify, with short aphorisms, the necessity of especially poetry, as an integral part of humanness in the 21st century – light hearted and serious, comical and tragic.
