If you enjoy walking, climbing or horse riding, but want to be close enough to Windhoek to hit the malls when the need arises, then Kivo Lodge is the place to be.

Situated 80 km north-east of the capital, the lodge was built on a granite outcrop and hosts an indoor pool to escape from the heat of the day (the adjacent sun deck does cater for sun lovers though…).

The latest addition to Namibia’s lodge fraternity, Kivo offers plenty of wildlife watching, with sightings of aardvark adding to the buzz around the dinner table. If you’re around during the rainy season, be sure to splash around in the natural rock pool with its striking waterfall.

Owner Ivo Lühl plans to open a wellness facility during the year, to add to the relaxation factor. Watch the Kivo space!
