Since its inception in 1999, the Namibia Tourism Expo has grown consistently, earning a superb reputation for offering the only centralised marketing platform for Namibia’s tourism industry.
This year, the Namibia Tourism Expo will take place from 29th May – 1st June 2013 at the Windhoek Show Grounds.
Apart from presenting a highly effective showcase for exhibitors active in tourism, the organisers have revitalised the exhibition every year by expanding the showcase. The Expo is organised by the Republikein newspaper with the support of all Namibian tourism organisations.
In addition, the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) works closely with the organisers by inviting international travel agents, guests and members of the media to the Expo. Networking opportunities are the backbone of the event.
The Expo hosts exhibits by local, regional and international establishments and also features interactive chefs’ demonstrations, art and crafts exhibitions, food, beer and wine tasting and a host of other fun activities to attract travel enthusiasts, foodies, friends of tourism and the general public.
A fully-fledged motor vehicle show, complete with motoring accessories, is hosted under the banner of the Bank Windhoek–Republikein Motor Show.
The Expo is open to all stakeholders in tourism, namely travel agencies, airlines, hotels, lodges, suppliers to the hospitality industry, government tourist offices and tourist-related organisations and enterprises, as well as representatives of food and beverage companies who supply extensively to the tourism industry.
Objectives of the Expo
The Namibia Tourism Expo is aimed at:
- Providing a forum for the tourism industry and its suppliers to market new and existing products and services directly to the consumer and the travel trade, both locally and internationally;
- Creating public awareness of the importance of tourism and fostering a sense of pride for our country amongst Namibians; and
- Encouraging stakeholders in the industry to network and communicate with each other to benefit the tourism trade at large.
The Namibia Tourism Expo attracts visitors who are actively seeking information about the various industry suppliers, new products and recent developments in tourism. The event presents an ideal opportunity to those who wish to network with the industry and make face-to-face contact to identify new business prospects.
The indoor participation rates are calculated at N$ 702.00 per m² (including VAT).
Outdoor rates vary due to location, size and condition of the site.
Please contact the organisers with your proposal if you are interested in sponsorship.
We thank you for your continued support of the Namibia Tourism Expo and look forward to assisting you in 2013.
