Save the Rhino Trust Namibia | Simson Uri-Khob new CEO

Simson Uri-Khob, well-known for his role within the Save the Rhino Trust (SRT) in Namibia, has taken over the helms at the local NGO. Simson has played a central role within the organisation for several years, and his new position of CEO reflects his experience and passion.

Uri-Khob took over following the resignation of Marcia Fargnoli last month, who has taken up a new role in the legal and environmental field.

Simson will be based at the SRT basecamp, Mai-Go-Ha in the Kunene region, while the Swakopmund office will continue to function as the administrative centre of operations.

In a press statement, the SRT trustees stated that they “have every confident that Simson will lead the Trust with confidence and skill through these difficult and challenging times”.

The trustees noted that “there are significant new challenges at present which require greater efforts on our part and for which we need continued support”.
