The saying goes, “Meat is meat, and a man must eat,” but not if you’re Manfred Lütz. Manfred, who learned the tricks of the meat-producing trade from his dad – a German master butcher – takes the meat business seriously.

He boasts his own smoking machine, drying and storage room stacked to the brim with delicacies ranging from salami, fleischwurst, jagdwurst, blutwurst, leberwurst, sülse, meatloaf, leberkäse, cabanossi, bierknacker, wieners, meatballs… you name a German food fantasy, and Manfred will bring it to life for you!

Moreover, every Thursday is the local German Club’s food evening at Sophia Dale (Manfred and wife Michaela’s mecca, just outside Swakopmund), with the local food fundis coming over from neighbouring farms to enjoy a range of German delicacies and specialities.
