Born in Etosha – Part 1
Etosha National Park is world-famous for its huge herds of wildlife and stunning desert landscapes. This is a 2-part documentary that tells the human history of Etosha.
In Part 1 Etosha is brought to life through the oral histories of the many tribes that lived and moved through here.
Combining archive footage, interviews, re-enactments and animation we bring these early years to life, from a time before there was even a Park. Part 1 ends in 1907 when the German (colonial) Governor proclaims Etosha as the biggest Game Reserve in the world. Director Andy Botelle will give an introduction and main actor Helao Shityuwete will be present to respond to questions.

Chad man Walking & Giraffe Conservation
Hi, my name is Chad Wratten and at times I become “Chadmanwalking”. “Chadmanwalking” was first thought of sometime in 2006. My lifestyle could not be considered the healthiest and during conservation friends mentioned this chap who walked across the USA to improve his physical and mental health. I loved the idea and imagined myself walking from Swakopmund to Victoria Falls. This route came to mind as it would allow me to take my dogs and source water along the way. Unfortunately nothing came of it but the seed had been planted….
Chad Wratten – walking through Namibia. He talks about his experiences.
As from 15 May 2015 Chad Wratten will be walking from Swakopmund to the Kunene River in the North of Namibia – this time also in support of giraffe conservation in Africa – and more specifically – here in Namibia.
