Khaudum National Park

Nedbank Desert Dash 2015 coming up

This Desert Dash started in 2004. Initially it was only a social ride between friends that was done over a two-day period, including one night of camping. This is the race that crosses the world's oldest desert. Those brave enough will be cycling a total distance of 369km over 24 hours.

Remembering Etosha’s first vet

In 1965 Dr Hymie Ebedes started his remarkable career in wildlife as the first biologist/veterinarian in the Etosha National Park Namibia. During his tenure there he pioneered the use of Tranquilizers to capture wild African animals, he also identified Anthrax in Etosha and established the protocols to identify the disease and control it's spread.
