As a unique thorny shrub that is endemic to the Namib Desert, the !nara is renowned for bearing nutritious fruit with seeds containing valuable oil. And what better place to process this esteemed oil than in the rolling hills 20 km outside Swakopmund at the border of the Dorob National Park.

Here, at desert hills, Stefanie and Volker Hümmer cold-press the intense fruity-nutty flavour of this unique Namibian oil from seeds that are harvested in the wild by the indigenous Topnaar people according to an age-old tradition.

Apart from fine !nara food oils, the farm folk also produce a wide variety of other products, including antipastos, pestos, pasta, spices, fruit vinegars and a range of BODYfoodNAMIBIA natural !nara oil cosmetics.
