Butternut gratiné

INGREDIENTS
6 small butternuts
250 g bacon, chopped
2 onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
30 ml butter
30 ml olive oil
5 ml dry oregano
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
250 ml cheddar cheese, grated

Halve butternuts and remove pips.
Heat butter and oil in a frying pan and sauté onions with the garlic and oregano.
Add bacon and fry until golden brown.
Season the butternut halves to taste.
Fill the hollow in each butternut with the fried onion and bacon mixture.
Cover the baking tray with foil and bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.
Uncover and top with grated cheese.
Bake another 30 minutes or until the butternut is tender and the cheese is melted.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
