MARIANNE’S CONDENSED MILK RUSKS

INGREDIENTS
1.5 kg self-raising flour
250 ml sugar
10 ml salt
15 ml aniseed
250 g butter
1 x 397 g tin of condensed milk
375 – 500 ml of water

Sieve all the dry ingredients together.
Add the aniseed and mix.
Rub butter into dry mix until crumbly.
Add the water and condensed milk gradually and mix to form a stiff dough.
Roll into balls and put in greased bread pans.
Bake at 180°C for 1 hour.
Remove from the oven and let cool.
Break or cut into rusks.
Dry out in lukewarm oven overnight.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
