Windhoek’s leading arts and cultural get-together, the annual /Ae//Gams Festival, kicked off yesterday at the Zoo Park in the centre of the city. Aimed at showcasing Namibia’s artistic and cultural diversity through its music, cuisine, traditional attire, dance and song, visual arts, and crafts, each evening hosts a “one-stop cultural centre” depicting the traditions from different cultural groups.
The festival comes to an end on Saturday, with a music show at the Vegkop Stadium, featuring local singing sensations such as Famaz Attack, Ugly Creatures, The Dogg, and others.
