Fast emerging budget airline flyafrica.com has postponed the launch date for its Windhoek-Johannesburg route by a month to March 2.
Flyafrica Ltd, a Mauritius- based private equity aviation investment group has partnered Nomad Aviation to form Namibia flyafrica.com and started selling tickets for the route at N$799 for a single journey in October last year.
Despite the delay, the airline has also started selling tickets for the planned Windhoek-Cape Town route, which it initially aimed to launch from the 16th of March with one daily flight.
Windhoek-Johannesburg will initially be served with one daily flight, increasing to two daily flights, with one of the flights continuing on to Lusaka in Zambia.
Flyafrica.com is only expected to serve Namibia-Zambia and Namibia-Zimbabwe markets via South Africa.
