June 21, 2019[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Swakopmund Municipality launched Project Shine last week, an initiative aimed at maintaining the cleanliness of the coastal town and the surrounding area. A generous donation of N$10 000 from First National Bank means a greater reach and impact for the project.
Pauline Nashilundo, the mayor of Swakopmund, shared her sentiment towards the project, noting that the Swakopmund Municipality is committed to retaining the cleanliness of the main roads at the coast and that the public may rely on them to keep the beaches clean.
“We have invested heavily in the development and protection of the environment, economy and the society in which we operate,” stated FNB Coastal & Southern Regional Manager, Tienie Mouton. She thanked the Project Shine team for their active role in the conservation and maintenance of the Swakopmund area. Mounton urged Project Shine 2019 to persist in promoting cleanliness, recycling and contributing to the social upliftment within the Swakopmund community.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”58888″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
