Cocktail clinking at Arebbusch
May 4, 2013For the serious sport supporters
May 4, 2013Namibia’s favourite platform for the performing arts is back with a bang!
Windhoek’s Warehouse Theatre (originally called The Warehouse, then renamed the Playhouse Theatre, and now back to its original name) combines the concept of the old Warehouse with the new funk of the former Playhouse, to be the number-one gathering spot for music lovers.
Monthly acts include Quiz Nights, Spoken Word, Song Night, and the Free Your Mind stand-up comedy show. On 1 March the Warehouse will play host to local hotshots with the launch of Penilane’s debut album, Wear it Well, which promises to be a ‘massive show, with a great stage and lighting’, says Mike Ott, Penilane band member and shareholder in The Warehouse.
Other shows in March include a live music night with some of our top female artists – Erna Chimu, Miss H, Brumelda and Sally – and a Jazz Family night. “The Warehouse Theatre is back to elevate Namibian music to new heights!” Stay up to date on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/WarehouseTheatreWindhoek?ref=ts&fref=ts
