The touism expo remains a critical yearly event, which brings together stakeholders in the industry. At the opening of the expo, Democratic Media Holdings chairperson Monica Kalondo noted that the Expo is no longer an event of DMH. Rather, the event has grown to such an extent that it has been passed on to the broader tourism community.
Around 19 000 visitors attended the expo in 2012 and again this year, around 2 000 exhibitors are taking part in the event.
